Crossing the Berner Oberland at Full Speed

Spannende alpine tours on large four-thousanders in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage region Jungfrau-Aletsch. With Mönch, 4099 m, and Jungfrau, 4158 m, two famous peaks to start with. The high-altitude Mönchsjochhütte, 3657 m, is the starting point. Crossing the Grünhornlücke towards the Finsteraarhornhütte, 3048 m, and the final goal of the week: the Finsteraarhorn, 4273 m. The ascent up to Hugisattel, 4094 m, is mostly on ice and firn, from there the Northwest ridge leads in easy combined climbing to the highest peak of the Bernese Alps.
